Cannavaro Claims Ballon d'Or
Real Madrid CF defender Fabio Cannavaro has been named European Footballer of the Year after captaining Italy to FIFA World Cup glory this summer.
Fabio Cannavaro has been voted European Footballer of the Year, with Gianluigi Buffon second and Thierry Henry third. He was sensational in the World Cup and had a breath taking season for Juventus. You expect world class players to display world class performances in big matches like the World Cup. Henry I'm afraid chokes on big match games. Well done Cannavaro you were an absolute legend for Italy and really showed what qualities Terry and Rio need to lead England to glory next time around!
"Of course I will bring this trophy back to Madrid, but I would also love to bring it to Turin," said Cannavaro.
"My season at Juventus was just outstanding. I played 37 matches and scored four goals, all decisive."
No representatives from Chelsea squad? Isk2..

Yup, Cannavaro is one of a kind.
I just admire his leadership. Superb role as the Azzurri captain during the WC!

Setuju dengan Taufiq.
Kerana Itali lebih jauh melangkah dalam WC, leadership Cannavaro seakan lebih terpandang.
