I Found A New Seed..

It was a fine Monday evening. Nasir and I were at the Islamic Center of Nashville for Asr. I noticed an American guy, who I had never see before at ICN. At the beginning, I thought he was a new Muslim. He mingled around the mosque, reading the advertisements and flyers of Discovering Islam at the board.

Then we wanted to pray. Again, I noticed that guy, he just stood at the back of the line, looked at us with full of respect. Then me and other Muslims prayed Asr together.

After the Asr prayer, a friend of mine who a Muslim approached him. They have some conversations, and I was not bother at them because I thought they might be friends. When I wanted to go out of the mosque, I heard they were talking about the Introduction to Islam course by Olive Tree Education.

So I approached them.

"Did you know about this course?" the Muslim guy asked me.

"Kind of. I'm the class assistant for this class," I replied. They looked surprised.

"Good! This guy is really interested to join this class. Can you talk with him?" he said.

"Certainly. Hello Sir, how are you doing?"

"I'm fine. My name is Barry. How about you?"

"My name is Amar. Glad to see you. Is there anything that I can help you?"

"Yeah, I was just looking around this place. It's a very nice and peaceful place."

"Yup, I agree. But sometimes we need more Muslims to pray together here, so it will be more exciting place to visit."

Haha!

So I knew that he was from Pennsylvania, currently working at Vanderbilt Orthopaedic Institute as a nurse. Graduated in Computer Science but suddenly fell in love with nursing. He had some Muslims friends from Jordan at his workplace and from there he learned about Islam.

"I feel really attracted with this religion. My Muslims friends at my workplace always talk about Islam. When I have some questions, they try to answer them. I saw them praying. It's really interesting."

"I think you should come to this class. We will learn some basic concepts about Islam. Actually this class already started from the last 2 weeks. But it's not late for you to participate in this class. We have about 55 students and nearly half of them are non-Muslims."

I gave him my phone number and email address. He said that he wanted to think first about joining the class. Deep in my heart, I hope that Allah will show him the true path.

InsyaAllah.
